Moving to the city
By Taxi:
There are two taxi stands within the perimeter of the airport, one at arrivals and the other at departures. The fare on the taxi meter should read 2.00 € (daytime) or 2.50 € (night time). Outside the city limits, city fares are charged per kilometer (0.45 €/km). An additional 1.60 € is charged for the transportation of luggage or animals. Before taking a taxi, inquire about the fare. Typically, a taxi from the airport to the city center should cost 6.00 € – 10.00 € (depending on traffic and distance).
Taxi Voucher: prepaid taxi service starting at 13.28€. On sale at the arrival terminal, on the "Information Desk".

By Bus:
There are several bus lines going through the airport. The bus route numbers and the names of the "end of the line" terminals are:
N.º 5 - Estação do Oriente / Aeroporto / Areeiro
N.º 22 - Portela / Aeroporto / Marquês de Pombal
N.º 44 - Moscavide / Aeroporto / Cais do Sodré
N.º 45 - Prior Velho / Aeroporto / Cais do Sodré

Arriving to Lisbon by Train | CP Portuguese Trains

The main train stations in Lisbon are: "Estação de Stª Apolónia" and "Estação do Oriente", with national and international (Lisbon-Madrid-Paris and Lisbon-Porto-Vigo).

Arriving to Lisbon by Car

Traffic drive on the right in Portugal and international traffic signs are used. The minimum age for driving is 18 years old. Speed limits are: 120 km/h (75 miles/h) on highways, 90 km/h (60 miles/h) on roads and 50 km/h (30 miles/h) in urban areas.
Main highways: From North take A1, from East take A6, from South take A2.


Moving around Lisbon


The most convenient way to move around Lisbon is by subway (Metro), by bus (Carris) or by taxi.
Public transports need electronic reusable cards called "7Colinas" or "Viva". These cards can be bought in vending machines inside Metro Stations and you can buy trips or load money on the card.

Reusable card (7colinas or Viva): 0.50 € (you need to buy trips in machines inside the Metro stations)
One Trip: 0.80 € (1 zone - Lisbon), 1.10 € (2 zones - Lisbon & surroundings)
Carris Fares
Reusable card (7colinas or Viva): 0.50 €
On board fare: 1.40 €
Pre-paid trip: 0.81 €
Combined Metro/Carris Fares:
Zapping - add money (2.00 to 15.00 €) to your reusable card and use either Metro (0.79 € per 1 zone trip) or Carris (0.80 € per trip)
One day ticket: 3.70 €
